Laurie Kofmehl, MS, OTR/L, earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1985 and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Des Moines University in 1993. With decades of experience across diverse settings—hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, and home health—she joined Sports Rehab in 1993 as its first occupational therapist and has led the program ever since. Currently, Laurie provides care at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, focusing on hand and upper extremity injuries, neurological disorders, and geriatric care. Certified in lymphedema management since 2007, she also assists with work injury recovery and prevention programs. Laurie is passionate about helping patients regain independence in their daily lives.
